What drew you to Massage therapy?
Growing up I was the designated child to rub the shoulders of adults and treat their ailments. In my adult life, after taking a Thai massage course, I decided to pursue it as a career.
What type of massage do you specialize in?
I specialize in therapeutic, medical grade massage with an influence of structural integration.
Why did you choose this type of massage?
I have found this style of massage is consistent with the most recent science in manual therapies as well as most immediate results of relief.
How do your talents benefit your patients?
Don't feel that I am anymore talented than the average therapist, however, my education and breath of knowledge of this subject is uncommon.
What is your favorite health tip to give your patients?
Breathe! Often we fail to use our vital capacity and position our bodies in ways that compromise our ability to exchange necessities in our environment.
What is your favorite hobby outside of work?
Surf, trail run, and listen to podcasts.
What would you tell a patient that is nervous about getting their first massage?
It's okay to be nervous. Communicating any pain or discomfort is most important. If you feel any restrictions and areas of tension, remember to breathe deeply.
