What drew you to Massage therapy?
I got too many compliments for my hands from coworkers and friends that I gave pit stop rubs in previous occupations until one day one lady told me “You have the gift of touch you need to go to school” the rest is history.
What type of massage do you specialize in?
I specialize in combination massage such as Swedish, Deep tissue and Trigger point release. I also like to stretch them a little.
Why did you choose this type of massage?
I choose this because “variety is the spice of life” one style can get boring. Such as food, you want to enjoy more than just one dish, also I have more resources to tackle the client’s areas of attention, improve and bring more wellness to the experience.
How do your talents benefit your patients?
My talents benefits my clients because there are very effective in accommodating their needs whether be relaxing and enjoying or getting them out of pain.
What is your favorite health tip to give your patients?
99% of illnesses are stress related so it is very important to get the stress out and massage sure helps aside from other fitness activities.
What is your favorite hobby outside of work?
I don’t have just one but a few… Yoga, biking, and yes connecting with God via meditation and praying.
What would you tell a patient that is nervous about getting their first massage?
Tune into your body, it is normal to feel nervous on your first massage so begin by focusing on the breath, relax and on the exhales let go of stress or tension as I go about the session and I’ll keep the pressure light it gets better as you get them more often.
