Our children just returned to school. Their summer fun turned into hard work and they are again faced with more challenges. For some, it might be self-discipline, having enough energy to endure all the classes, for others, the attention span. Challenges are numerous and as a mother of 5 children I can feel for them!
Our children rely upon all the support they can receive as well as all the information they can absorb. It is scientifically proven that children with the right support and connection to the support system have more endurance and a greater resilience then those with less or none. This brings us to the question how we can maintain ourselves so that we can support them? Reducing our stress levels might be a good place to start. Having a hike, bike ride, or swim, enjoying a meaningful conversation with a close person, pausing for a moment to see the sunset as well as experiencing relaxing massage creates those moments when you recharge with enough energy to support your most important people the way they need it.
