How do your talents benefit your patients?
Research has shown chiropractic to be effective in treating neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions, including back pain, neck pain, headache, sciatic neuralgia, carpal tunnel syndrome and others.
What are your favorite health tips for your patients?
Moderation is important. Avoid what you know to be unhealthy, such as smoking, excessive drinking, unhealthy food, negative company, and the habit of thinking negative thoughts. Healthcare is collaborative care between the healthcare provider and the patient. Remember to do your part, often described as home care. Your doctor might recommend that you use ice, heat, stretch, resistant training, nutritional supplement, or to avoid certain functions for some time. Following instructions and doing your part will likely expedite your recovery. If you eat healthy, exercise regularly, think positive thoughts, keep good company, watch comedy films, and follow your dreams, I think you’ll be motivated. Always remember to be kind to yourself.
What is your favorite hobby outside of work?
I’m a meditation teacher and author of books on Kindness and compassion. So, I enjoy tuning inwardly and writing about self-emancipation through meditation and kindness.
What would you tell a patient that is nervous about getting their first chiropractic adjustment?
What are you nervous about? I drove all the way from Africa to take care of you in Hawaii. I’m the one who should be nervous. It was a long drive! I almost didn’t make it. The animals were vicious on the way. Relax, you’re in good hands. I’ve been crunching bones for 18 years! The patient usually laughs and relaxes 🙂
