What drew you to massage therapy?
I was always into health and fitness, working out and qigong.
What type of massage do you specialize in?
I specialize in deep tissue, acupressure, meridian work, sports massage and lomi lomi.
Why would you choose this type of massage?
This is the type of massage that i like to receive myself, that my body responds to the best so this is what i specialize in.
How do your talents benefit your patients?
Massage is a passion of mine and i try to receive lots of massage myself so that i am constantly learning about the human body and how our human experience is recorded our bodies.
What is your favorite health tip you give your patients?
My big heath tip and fascination is mindfulness about deep diaphragm breathing vs shallow upper respiratory breathing. Our society is way overstimulated by external stimulation and the fast pace lifestyle creates short attention span thru shallow breathing. Deep diaphragm breathing enriches the blood with oxygen and acts as a chemical messenger in our glandular system.
What is your favorite hobby outside of work?
I'm a qigong practitioner and love to spend my free time in nature, hiking, contemplating the secrets of the universe and our place as guardians of this creation 🙂
What would you tell a patient that is nervous about getting their first massage?
Keep breathing and feel free to give me feedback at anytime about the pressure and area you’d like me to focus on for your relief of tension and pain.
