What drew you to massage therapy?
From childhood I've wanted to be in a healing profession.
What type of massage do you specialize in?
Intuitive, focused therapeutic massage with integrated energy work - usually medium to firm (and deep) sinking-in pressure.
Why would you choose this type of massage?
So much restriction and pain is caused by knotted up fascia entrapping muscles and nerves. Being able to help in a natural and non-invasive way (massage) often is more effective than other approaches.
How do your talents benefit your patients?
A deep sense of relief from old injuries and blocks, much improved range of motion, emotional release, better focus, a feeling of being taller and lighter, nurtured and relaxed.
What is your favorite health tip you give your patients?
If you get a muscle cramp, contract the opposite muscle for 10 seconds to make it go away.
What is your favorite hobby outside of work?
I love to be near the ocean and jungle, fun and authentic connecting through games, potlucks hikes, dancing, meditating, chatting.
What would you tell a patient that is nervous about getting their first massage?
I would find out what they were nervous about and put them at ease by letting them know what to expect, and they can stop at any time, or ask for what they need to feel comfortable.
